Cognify Search are partnered with one of the UK’s most recognizable brands. They are going through a data revolution, and looking to Introduce Analytics Engineering to their mature data function.

The Analytics Engineers will focus in on the following tasks:

• Ingestion (Knowledge of / use of tools)
• Software Engineering best practices (CI/CD, Automated Testing, GIT, GitHub, Version control)
• Data Modelling Techniques (Data Vault, Star Schema, facts / dimensions, schema modelling)
• Writing exceptional SQL code. (Window functions, CTE’s)
• Using dbt

Data Visualization is carried out by a separate team of data/BI analysts. Knowledge of building reports and dashboard is helpful but not essential.

Analytics Engineers are embedded into the business, the long-term goal is to build a data mesh of #20 teams. These senior Analytics Engineering hires will help shape how Analytics Engineering is performed across the group., mentoring junior AE’s and leading on the stakeholder relationships.

Our client is Investing heavily in it’s data eco-system. They have the following stack:

• AWS
• Snowflake
• Fivetran
• dbt
• Looker
• Airflow
• SQL

Whilst tooling experience is helpful, the most important element is understanding how to solve complex business problems at scale, with knowledge of Analytics Engineering fundamentals, along with Software Engineering best practice.
